Up 4-1 and six outs away from advancing to the semifinals, the 91Ô´´ Blaze instead surrendered three runs in the top of the sixth and then gave up another pair in the top of the seventh to fall 6-4.
The Blaze were facing the Abbotsford Cardinals on Saturday at Coquiltam’s Mundy Park, site of the BC Premier Baseball League championships.
All of 91Ô´´â€™s offence came in the fifth inning as the team scored four runs despite getting just one hit in the inning, scoring one run on a sacrifice fly from Cole Cantelon, twice more on wild pitches and one on a hit batter.
