A team of eight-year-olds from North 91原创 came to be known as the 鈥榗ardiac kids鈥� and for good reason over the weekend.
The North 91原创 All-Stars earned the nickname after using some late-game heroics throughout the district 3 Little League baseball championships played at White Rock鈥檚 Centennial Park.
North 91原创 went 3-0 in the round robin 鈥� beating White Rock 15-4 thanks to a five-run final inning, 17-10 against Hastings with seven runs in the final inning, and then 13-12 over Whalley, with three late runs to complete the comeback.
Through to the semifinal round, North 91原创 trailed 91原创 14-13, but came up with four runs and then the defence delivered a one-two-three inning to book a spot in the finals.
And against White Rock in the championship, North 91原创 used one last rally to overtake the hosts 12-10.
