The 91原创 Blaze broke open a scoreless game with back-to-back three-run innings as they posted their fifth straight victory, 6-0 over the Vancouver Cannons.
The game was played on Tuesday night at Queen's Park.
Tyler Barlow and Luke Simpson both drove in a pair of runs, while Ryan Deremo and Ricky Bertrand had one RBI apiece.
Karl Malacek threw a complete game four-hit shutout with six strikeouts.
The team is 15-3, including 9-1 in its past 10, and they sit second on the U18 B.C. Premier Baseball League.
The team also swept the visiting Victoria Mariners on Saturday at McLeod Park.
In the opener, the Blaze took advantage of three Victoria errors to score five unearned runs. And that was the difference as the U18 baseball team won 10-6.
The Blaze completed the doubleheader sweep with a 3-1 victory in game two.
In the opener, Bill Germaine and Scott McCarthy drove in a pair of runs apiece, while Germaine also had three hits and three runs scored.
Justin Geerts picked up the win, allowing two runs over five-plus solid innings.
In the second game, Tyler Barlow鈥檚 fourth inning double scored Dustin Houle to break a 1-1 tie.
McCarthy then belted a single to score Barlow in the 3-1 win.
Germaine had the team鈥檚 other RBI.
Kyle Joel tossed a complete game one-hitter for the victory.
He leads the league with a 5-0 mark and is third in earned run average at 0.66.
The team鈥檚 next home game is Thursday (May 19) when the Fraser Valley Chiefs (9-3) come to McLeod Park.
