Bill Germaine drove in six runs as the 91原创 Blaze took both halves of a doubleheader on Tuesday in Victoria against the Eagles.

The Blaze won the opener 7-2 and then took game two by a 4-3 score.

The victories clinched sixth spot for 91原创 as they head into this weekend鈥檚 B.C. U18 Premier Baseball League playoffs, where they will face the third-place Parksville Royals.

During four games in the regular season, the Blaze won three times.

91原创 finished the regular season at 25-23. Their record reflects forfeiting a dozen victories after there were found to have used ineligible players. Otherwise, they would have won their fourth consecutive league title.

In Tuesday鈥檚 opener, the Blaze struck for three runs in the first inning and that was more than enough offence.

Joel Filipek, Kyle Joel and Greg Smith combined to allow five hits while fanning 10 batters.

Jerod Bartnik also drove in a pair of runs.

The second game was tied at two until 91原创 went ahead for good with two runs in the fifth.

Devon Stewart picked up the win after relieving Karl Malacek after three innings.
