Hundreds of athletes from across the province came to McLeod Athletic Park in 91原创 last week to put it all on the line to become a provincial champion.
Running from Thursday, June 9 to Saturday, June 11 at McLeod Athletic Park, the B.C. School Sports Track and Field Provincial Championships saw high school athletes compete across dozens of events, including hurdles, steeplechase, relay, pole vaulting, javelin, high jump, shot put, and discus events.
Several 91原创 competitors came home with medals in their events, including gold won by Madison Gordon from R.E. Mountain Secondary, who was first in women鈥檚 long jump (senior); Zimo Liu from Walnut Grove Secondary, who won the men鈥檚 100 meter hurdles (36鈥 junior); Tyse Wagenaar from 91原创 Christian, who took first in the 400 meter dash (Gr. 8); and Noah Louwerse from 91原创鈥檚 Credo Christian, who won both the men鈥檚 1500 meter and 800 meter run events (junior).
