Mark Faure drove in all three runs as the 91Ô´´ Sr. Blaze rallied from an early 2-0 hole to win 3-2.
The Blaze were hosting the Coquitlam Angels on Tuesday night at McLeod Park in PIL action.
Faure hit a two-run double in the second inning, scoring Scott Webster and Tyler Willson, and then was at it again in the fourth, delivering Willson home with a single.
Trevor Lishanko earned the win on the mound, while Nathan Kirby earned the save after getting out of a bases loaded jam in the bottom of the seventh.
But 91Ô´´â€™s bid for back-to-back wins fell short on Wednesday as they dropped a 3-2 decision in extra innings to the Burnaby Bulldogs.
The Blaze forced extra innings with a run in the bottom of the sixth inning and then took a 2-1 lead into the top of the eighth.But the Bulldogs struck for two runs, taking advantage of two walks and an error.
Faure and Clayton Howell had the 91Ô´´ RBIs, while Jesse Peters was tagged with the loss. Peters went the distance, striking out eight.
