The Abbotsford Canucks home opener has been announced for Friday, Oct. 20.
The Canucks will welcome the team that eliminated them from the playoffs 鈥� the Calgary Wranglers.
The American Hockey League released home opening dates for all 32 teams on Tuesday (July 11), with full schedules set to drop on Wednesday (July 12).

The Canucks will be starting the season on the road, as it was also revealed that the club will be the home opener opponent for the Laval Rocket on Oct. 13.
Abbotsford and Calgary met 12 times during the regular season in 2022-23, with the Wranglers winning eight of those games. The clubs then met in the divisional semifinals, with Calgary winning the best-of-five series 3-1. The Wranglers closed out that series with a 3-2 win in Abbotsford on May 6.
