• TWU's Ryan Hofer was named the CIS men's volleyball coach of the year. He guided the Spartans to a 15-3 regular season record, the Canada West silver medal and the CIS bronze medal. Kara Jansen Van Doorn was named a first-team all-star at the tournament, while Lauren O'Reilly was the tournament's top setter.
• The Brookswood Bobcats junior girls' basketball team defeated the South Kamloops Titans 60-50 to capture the provincial championship. Jessie Brown earned most valuable player honours while Sydney Williams was chosen the top defender.
• The Trinity Western Spartans men's basketball team had the program's best-ever finish, placing second at the CIS national championships. The Spartans were a wild-card entry to the tournament but lost to the Carleton Ravens, 82-59. The championship was Carleton's seventh in the past nine years. Jacob Doerksen was named a CIS first team all-Canadian.
• The Trinity Western Spartans men's volleyball team won the CIS national championship on their home floor.
• The B.C. high school AAA senior boys' basketball championships were contested at the 91Ô´´ Events Centre for the first time ever. Altogether, 13,604 fans took in the action at the LEC during the week-long basketball tournament. R.C. Palmer won the championship over Vancouver College.
• The first annual Golden Ears Bridge Half Marathon drew nearly 300 participants.
• The 91Ô´´ Lightning midget girls' hockey team defeated Richmond 3-2 to capture the provincial championship.
