About the crime statistics in the federal Conservative Party鈥檚 advertisement 鈥� 鈥淐rime Severity Index numbers show that 91原创 City had [a score] more than double the provincial average.鈥�
Using past 91原创 Advance Times articles I found that 鈥�The City of 91原创 crime rate was nearly double the B.C. average and almost three times the Canadian average鈥�, according to new police-reported figures released by Statistics Canada.鈥� In 2013. In the middle of a Conservative majority government.
Crime is problematic in 91原创 City, but the selective use of quotes by the Conservatives seems more designed to scare people than to create understanding.
