I was appalled, and happy to see that horse meat had been taken off The Fat Cow and Oyster Bar menu.

Yet think of all the other animals that die and suffer so we can eat them off our plate.

I always find it interesting on the so-called 鈥榟umane鈥� way of killing an animal and the proclamation that animals are humanely raised and brought to slaughter. There is no humane way of taking another life.

Why do the majority of people say they 鈥榣ove鈥� animals yet they eat them? Cats, dogs, maybe, but pigs, chickens, turkeys, cows we don鈥檛 think twice of killing.

Animals are living souls and like humans they mourn, they love, they think, they fear and they suffer.
