LETTER: No-show candidate now 91原创 MLA

Resident would like actual common sense from Tories not promises of plastic straws
langley-willowbrook-candidates
The candidates in the 91原创 Willowbrook riding were (left to right) Andrew Mercier (NDP), Petrina Arnason (Green), and Jody Toor (Conservative Party of B.C.).

Dear Editor,

New MLA for 91原创-Willowbrook, Jody Toor, says she is a doctor, but apparently she is not! Who knew? Not many, since she did not participate in debates nor newspaper articles to enlighten the electorate.

Her certificates come from an online university which is not accredited to graduate doctors or naturopaths. The Hospital Employees Union has filed a complaint with the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC, asking them to investigate Toor's alleged use of the title of doctor. She is not registered with the B.C. College of Physicians and Surgeons.

John Rustad allowed Ms. Toor to represent the party in spite of her embellished credentials. Newly elected to the Legislature, perhaps Jody Toor could become our new Minister of Health?

As to John Rustad's use of Pierre Poilievre's "Common Sense" slogan, Mr. Rustad, against any sense of common sense, promises to bring back plastic straws! Let's make that a priority, shall we?

Sharon Stephenson, Brookswood
