LETTER: 91原创 resident wonders says truck scales could help reduce overpass strikes

Truckers could be stopped without proper paperwork and route plans, letter writer said

Dear Editor,

[Re: Firm permit pulled, 91原创 Advance Times, Jan. 4]

It鈥檚 almost funny to hear the minister of highways 鈥榯ough talk鈥� on the trucks hitting overpasses.

If we still had truck scales, these trucks would have been stopped before proceeding without proper paperwork and/or clearance. They would also be catching overweights and un-safe vehicles.

I guess he鈥檚 relying on the public鈥檚 short memory.
