Freeland touts 鈥榓ffordable鈥� development renting 330-square-foot units for $1,600.
Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland toured a new building on Monday, March 11, offering micro-apartments starting at $1,600 per month that she said was illustrative of the homes that her government is getting built for 鈥渓ow and middle income Canadians.
Totally out of touch with the reality of what is affordable and thinking these tiny apartments are homes. They are nothing more then shelters and in my view coffins with doors.
If this is what the federal, provincial or municipal governments believe this is adequate housing for the future of Canadians, I have a couple of words that cross my mind鈥� go live there yourself.
By the way I will rent a shed, a four-foot by six-foot shed for the parliament buildings or city halls to all who apply, and you can debate if this is appropriate housing for the representation of housing for parliamentarians. Of course you will have to meet the stringent requirements when filling out the applications. No dogs allowed.
