Editor: A few years ago, we had an overpass installed to get traffic across the railroad and the Bypass.
This funneled the flow to 203 Street for those going south.
Now, for some obscure reason, 203 Street is being revised and is a terrible situation for traffic and residents.
The street itself is like an obstacle course, with poor alignment and abbreviated parking zones that drivers have difficulty getting into and parking.
It must be a nightmare for emergency vehicles such as fire trucks (as well as for) delivery vehicles and moving vans.
So much for funneling traffic.
The roundabout at 53 Avenue is also a safety hazard, with that ridiculous retaining wall in the middle that obscures vision of cyclists, children and dog walkers.
I wonder how fire trucks get around this as well.
A driveway near this roundabout is also problematic, when drivers stop to turn left into it upon exiting the roundabout.
This lengthy project is a poorly designed mess, in my opinion.
And it is a waste of taxpayers’ money.
