A letter writer admires the outpouring of compassion demonstrated with the recent teddy bear toss at the Vancouver Giants game.

Dear Editor,

What a sight.

Thousands of stuffed toys going over the glass while staff struggled to corral   them.

Some came down under parachutes from the upper levels, while adult-sized ones got hung on top of the glass while grinning players poked at them with their sticks

Such an outpouring of fun and special purpose is so encouraging in this self-centred world.

GO GIANTS, well done!
