Editor: Recently two of the major bridges in the Lower Mainland had the tolls removed.

Now we start hearing in the news about road tolls.

Ignore tolls all together — the solution to raising taxpayer dollars for transit infrastructure is to freeze all wages for all employees working in municipal governments.

The freeze would apply to all elected municipal officials, all management staff, and all union employees.

The freeze could be for example, three years, as the wages at present being paid are already very rich.

Some of the present wages being paid are higher than wages paid to employees in the forest industry.

This is a win-win situation without costing the taxpayers more money.

It’s just plain economic sense, prevailing to facts and reality — something which has seemed to disappear from municipal government decision making.
