Dear Editor,
[Re: LETTER: Tariff war is fault of Canadians, too, langleyadvancetimes.com, Feb. 2]
Yes, the world is at fault, and it would be helpful if the world would stop the wars around the world, and stop asking Canada to fight their wars for them. Hmm, like the United States.
Is Canada at fault for a trade war? I don't think so. The president of United States has stated he wants Canada as the 51st state. What underlying motives is going on through his head? Obviously, this trade war is is not a trade war but a bully trying to demonstrate the ballooned ego he has for himself and the power that he holds to the world. Yes, the world should be concerned and fight tariffs with their own against United States.
Blame Canada and the prime minister for what is taking place with the action United States and this president is trying to inflict on Canada, I don't think so.
This president has made history with his background in the courts, of his character and of how he conducts himself. Look it up.
An observation of this letter that was written to the paper has me wondering what political beliefs are written in the words and how much can a letter indulge itself in blaming a prime minister and Canada on the conduct of a president who only wants to charge a 10 per cent tariff on China and 25 per cent on an ally. Go figure that out?
