Dear Editor,
The Christmas season reminds us that we all share our tiny planet and are all related.
My wife's family line is 100 per cent Ukrainian; my origins are European Heinz 57 with a mix of everybody in me; my son-in-law is of Croatian lineage, making two of my grand-girls Canadian Croatians.
My wife has a Japanese Canadian aunt, and a Scandinavian uncle; my daughter-in-law is a Jamaican Canadian (making my third grand-girl a Canadian, Ukrainian, Jamaican beauty), and my mother traced back to an Irish, Welsh, and French family tree.
If you're following, that includes Canada, Europe, Scandinavia, Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe.
If we only knew, we would see we're all related, all one, all loved by God and all family.
As Rodney King said, "People, I just want to say, you know, can we all get along? Can we get along? Can we stop making it, making it horrible for the older people and the kids?… It's just not right."
Amen, Rodney.
