Editor: There are just under seven billion people in the world, the most ever, but that is because more people are living to 100 years old now. To keep up the population in the world, we need families to have 2.1 children per family 鈥� the replacement level. In Canada, we have immigrants coming into our country, which is good. Yet in Canada we are closing schools all the time, because we are not having enough children. Some countries in the world will decline because they are not having enough children. The only reason we have as many people alive now is because many more are living much longer. It is not because we are having too many babies.Dean Clark,91原创
