Tage Pedersen passed away peacefully at the age of 88. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Nenita and his children Annelisa, Paul and Vivienne. 

Born in Denmark in 1929, Tage immigrated to Canada in the 1950s. Working his way across Canada provided the setting for many adventures and a few close calls. 

As a licensed mechanic, Tage owned several businesses including a gas station on Oak Street in Vancouver. Through folk dancing and dog breeding, Tage expanded his group of lifelong Danish friends. 

An avid fisherman and hunter, Tage built a cabin and house on Denman Island. Denman was later the setting for annual family vacations, where salmon were caught but even bigger ones got away. 

Tage was a resident of 91原创 since 1972. He established the family's 40-acre dairy farm in Aldergrove, building a reputation as a world-class Holstein breeder. 

A cowboy through and through, Tage organized and competed in cattle penning for over twenty years, including winning the Cowboy Olympics in 1998. Tage's dream to retire to Vancouver Island lasted only a year, as he returned to 91原创 to be closer to cattle penning events. 

Retiring from the rodeo at 82, Tage supplied sheep to the Cloverdale Rodeo and was a regular at the 91原创 livestock auction. On his farm, Tage raised sheep, chickens, and boer goats and grew his own fruits and vegetables. 

As a father, Tage taught his children the importance of hard work and the value of sharp business instincts. Tage was known for his cooking, especially his pies, pickles and jams. He was a master negotiator, a superb storyteller, and a charming host, especially if you had room for seconds.
