In loving memory ~

A beautiful and gentle soul has left us. Shelagh passed away peacefully at Evergreen Campus of Care in White Rock.

"She" was born and raised in Vancouver where she graduated high school in 1964 and began her life's journey which included early years in Winnipeg, back to Vancouver and then on to Crescent Beach, Richmond, 91原创 and the last 13 years in White Rock. Along the way she was a daughter, a wife, a sister, a mother, a grandmother and a devoted friend to many.

She worked in the shoe restoration business for many years and was an accomplished sketch artist, painter, wood carver and sculptor. She created her own line of "Teddy Bears" from concept to design to a beautiful life-like bear with moving head, arms and legs and she completed each bear with tender loving care by her own hand.

She was a proud member of AA for 34 years and through her service to the Fellowship helped many women along the way. She would say "as humans we are perfectly imperfect" and while she didn't suffer fools, she always reached out her hand to those in need if she was able. Her kindness and compassion for and to others was who Shelagh was and she is and will be dearly missed.

Shelagh leaves behind Russ, her soul mate for the past 18 years, her precious friends Juliet and Thelma, grandsons Isaac and Luke and their mother Rachel, her brothers Craig, Marc and Michael, a sister Dolena and many nephews, nieces and cousins. She was predeceased by her two sons (Sean in 1998 and Jason in 2017) her brother Ian in 2017 and her parents Craig in 2003 and Malvina in 1997......

Donations to MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Drivers) and/or the Canadian Alzheimer's Society in Shelagh's name would be a fitting tribute to a most precious person.
