MILLER, Richard Paul

July 7, 1954 - February 19, 2017

On February 19 Richard passed away surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving wife Kathy, children Christine (Ryan), Rick, Bob, Angela (Steve), AJ, grandchildren Ryder and Teddy, and a large extended family. Richard was born July 7, 1954, the seventh child to Mike and Theo Miller, and raised in Richmond, BC. Richard worked many years for Miller Contracting before beginning his own excavating company. Richard was a natural problem solver who was always willing to lend a helping hand. He coached his children's curling teams, was a member of the Salmon Arm Elk's club, and opened his home to anyone in need. His sense of humour, sometimes colourful, endeared him in the hearts of everyone he encountered.

Richard loved working on his property in Salmon Arm, boating, Hawaii, and most of all his family. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

There will be a Funeral Mass at St. Nicholas Church, 20675 87th Ave in 91原创, BC on Friday, February 24 at 11:00am. A Richard style celebration will take place on his birthday weekend at the Salmon Arm property. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Sandra Schmirler Foundation.
