February 17, 1935 - September 13, 2023
Ralph passed peacefully in his sleep at the age of 88, after a long battle with dementia.
He was born in Manitoba but spent most of his life right here in Abbotsford. He had many occupations over the years but is best known for his career as a high school teacher in the 91原创 School District where he taught Industrial Education, Math, and Science. Ralph adored children and they loved him too!
Quietly generous, Ralph donated blood over 100 times! He was the backbone of our family.
Over the years Ralph had many hobbies, which included gardening, rock collecting, drawing and painting, photography, stamp collecting, and going for long walks.
Ralph could fix anything. He became very resourceful, having grown up during the Depression, and if he didn't know how to do something, he would research and find out how.
Surviving Ralph are his sister Louise (Don), daughter San (Rob), daughter-in-law Sophie, granddaughters Rachel (Josh), Janice (Joshua), and Becca, and great-grandchildren Sofia, Liam, Aiden, and Ashtyn, as well as nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Liz, his son Paul, and his brother Jim.
There will be an open house memorial in December, date TBA.
We thank the staff at Menno Home for taking such good care of him.
