OMELANIEC, Nadia (Nettie), born May 15, 1916 in Novorossyski, Russia.

Nettie was the youngest child of Joseph and Paulina Rudkiewich. She passed away peacefully at home on March 16, 2006 after a short illness.

Predeceased by her husband Jacob (1982), grandchild Warren (1988), and son Michael (2003); Nettie is survived by her son Simon, daughter Lucienne and several grandghildren and great-grandchildren.

Nettie was a member of the 91原创 United Church since the early 50's and sang in the choir for 10 years. Her loves were gardening, plants, and all things green and growing. She was also proud that coming to a strange country and not knowing the language she and her husband were able to found a concrete pipe manufacturing company that still remains in the family.

A celebration of her life will be held at the 91原创 United Church, 5673 200th Street on Wednesday March 22, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. Interment at 91原创 Lawn Cemetery will follow. In memory of Nettie please do a random act of kindness.
