It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Matthew Jeffrey Howitt, our beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Friend, and Masked Crimefighter.

Matthew grew up in 91原创, BC. He loved to act and draw and read and write. He loved comic books and movies and Role Playing Games. He had very strong opinions about these things, opinions you would be hard pressed to sway, though he would happily engage in discussions about them. He was a storyteller, he liked to create and occupy worlds outside of his own. He touched many with his imagination and his quick wit, and we are all humbled for having known his love.

By day, Matthew worked jobs in the retail and restaurant industries. By night, he was a costumed vigilante, prowling the streets, striking terror in the hearts of evil doers everywhere. They say on a quiet night you can hear the very shadows whisper his name.

Matthew will be fondly remembered by his parents, Jeff Howitt, and Terri and Tim Baker, his brother Trevor Howitt (Jen), his sister Alicia Baker, his nieces J'Lee and Madeline, and by countless aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and friends. And lastly, by the city that he loved so much and risked everything to protect, day in and day out.

A celebration of life will be held March 3rd, 2018 at the Port Kells Centennial Hall, 18918 88th Ave.
