In loving memory ~

September 1934 to July 2024

On July 15th, surrounded by family, our Mom, Grandma, GG, passed on to her heavenly home after a short stay in the hospital.

She is predeceased by her loving husband of 55 years, Howard; Granddaughter Grace; Brother Len; Sister-in-laws Helen, Pat, Laura; Brother-in-law Morris, nephew Stacy, and nieces Beth and Sadie. Mom is survived by her son Randy (Heather), daughter Evelyn (Vernon), son Gordon (Fern) and son Ken (Sandy). Grandchildren Nicholas, Natalie (Aaron), Narissa (Ashi), Rachele (Tyler), Jared (Anne), Lindsay (Derek), Natalie (Sean), Joe, Sam, Brad (Jen), Greg (Rachael) and 20 Great-grandchildren. Also survived by her brothers Henry, Wally (Helen), Orval, Lorne (Caroll), Richard (Shirley), her sister Merna, sister-in-law Joyce and many nieces and nephews and dear friends.

Mom's service in life was hospitality, from being a member of the Jackman Manor Ladies Auxiliary in Aldergrove, Salmon Valley Seniors in Silver Creek, Aldergrove Veterans and Senior's Hall to all the positions she held in her Abbotsford Condo Complex. She was a go-getter, checking in on her neighbours, driving friends out for lunch or just being there for them. Her love of life and love for family was evident by the batches of cookies (world-famous ginger snaps) that she baked for her Grandchildren and Great-grands, forever to be remembered, loved and missed.

Internment took place at Mt. Ida Cemetery in Salmon Arm followed by a Tea. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, August 17th, at 2:00 pm, at the Aldergrove Alliance Church, 26291 28th Ave, Aldergrove BC. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to a charity of your choice.
