WELLS, Marilyn "Laurie" (nee Cassidy) - It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing on September 19, 2006 of Laurie who was born in London, Ontario. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Gary; son Michael and his wife Mary; her grandchildren William, Michelle, Darnell and Malcolm, daughter Christine (Robin) Solomon; brothers and sister; Donald, Ralph, Gordon, David, Janet and Douglas and their families; and many other relatives and friends. Laurie was predeceased by her parents James and Laura and sister Lorraine. Music was a passion for Laurie. She delighted audiences with her smiles and her energetic performances at countless events. She won 3 songwriting awards for a special song "Lend a Helping Hand", typifying her commitment to helping others. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff in Palliative Care at Peace Arch Hospital for their kind and compassionate care of Laurie. Prayers will be offered on Monday, September 25, 2006 at 7:30 pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 20680 Fraser Highway, 91原创 where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at 2:00 pm. On Saturday, September 30, 2006 at 3:00 pm a memorial service of Marilyn's life will be held at St. Patrick's Church, 1251 Dundas and Oakland Street in London, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations in Laurie's memory to BC Cancer Society would be appreciated.
