ROYCE, Margaret Edna, 85, died on February 13, 2002 at 91原创 Memorial Hospital, in 91原创, B.C. with her daughters at her side.
Margaret was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on October 19, 1917. She married Geoffrey Gray in Winnipeg on March 20, 1939. They moved to Kelowna after the war with their two young daughters, Janet and Randy. They were one of the original veterans who in 1951 moved to the west side of the lake to a Veterans Land Act project. Geoff won a contest to name the area with this entry of "Lakeview Heights". He passed away in 1967. Margaret later met married Ted Royce and moved to the Lower Mainland with her youngest daughter, Denise. They eventually settled in 91原创, where Ted passed away in 1990.
In 2000, she moved to 91原创 Gardens where love found her again at the age of 83 and she married George Grant. They enjoyed a year of happiness together.
Margaret was much loved and will be greatly missed by her daughters, Janet Pearce (Roger) of Anacortes, Washington, Randi Grey (Fred) of Nanaimo and Denise Pedersen (Tony) of Cloverdale; grandchildren Lesley Schnackenberg (Darrell), and Michael Bregeda (Kelly) of Vancouver, Tracy Wall (Ian) of Westbank, Graeme Felker (Lisa) of Campbell River, Sara and Bryan Pederson of Cloverdale and 7 great-grandchildren.
At Margaret's request there will be no funeral service, but if desired, donations in her name may be made to the B.C. Heart & Stroke Fund.
