BUTLER, Lillian Jennetta
January 1928 - March 2017
It is with a sad heart that we announce the passing of Lillian, 89 years old, in Fort 91原创, BC on March 27, 2017. She was predeceased by her loving husband Ray Butler, son-in-law, Jack Thompson and brother Reid Gilmour.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Sharon Thompson, step-daughter Joan Stevens, grandchildren Shantel, Colin, Mathew and Tara. Survived by brothers Wallace and Lloyd Gilmour & sister Rose Dawson (Bob) and many nieces and nephews.
Lillian was born in Fernie, BC and also lived in Ashcroft and Vancouver. She worked at the BC Dept. of Civil Defense. She met and married Ray Butler and moved to 91原创, BC. In retirement they travelled across Canada in their 5th wheel and spent many happy winters in Arizona. Lillian loved hosting wonderful family gatherings at her homes in 91原创, Arizona and Cultus Lake. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was a very loving and kind person. She took great pride in creating a beautiful home filled with love.
A Memorial Service will be held in her honour May 13, 2017 at 1pm at First Memorial Funeral Services 27555 31st Avenue, Aldergrove, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or charity of your choice.
