VALCOURT, Leonel Edmond. Our beloved father, relative and friend Leonel passed away peacefully with family by his side at St. Joseph's Hospital in Comox on Thanksgiving Monday, October 13, 2003. Born in Villeneuve, Alberta on September 21, 1919 he had just celebrated his 84th birthday. Predeceased by his loving wife, Gladys, on June 17, 2001. Leo is survived by their children; Noel (Helene), Stewart (Judy), Darlene (John Hazlett) and Joy (Stan Zwicker), twelve grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren, three surviving brothers and three sisters. Thank you to the emergency and hospital staff at St. Joseph's for their care and understanding. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18th, 2003 at Comox Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1101 Ryan Road, Comox, B.C.
