In Loving Memory ~

Cheryl was born in Mission BC to Thomas and Eleanor (Refuse) Haney. She grew up with three siblings -- Gary, Elizabeth and Kevin -- and they all helped out with the family shingle mill.

She attended Maple Ridge High School, Cheryl met a group of lifetime girlfriends there. Cheryl will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

She married Lin Kelly in 1973 and they had two daughters Carla and Diana. She was a devoted mother and grandmother to nine grandchildren. In addition, she reconnected to her daughter Jennifer Meub later in life.

Cheryl will also be missed by her beloved K9 companion Tina. Cheryl was a kind gentle soul who loved nature and animals. Among her many passions and hobbies she especially loved horses. She had always dreamed of owning a horse and she was able to live that dream by raising her own horses, Rockette & Tazzie.

She passed on her love for horses to her children and taught them how to ride. In addition, she was interested in horse racing and owned a number of horses including her favorite, Swazy.

Cheryl also loved to camp in the summers and she helped to give the family many wonderful memories camping at Cultus Lake enjoying great food and family time. In later years, Cheryl loved spending time with her grandchildren. She would attend the grandchildren's events and loved spending quality time with all them.

People loved Cheryl for her accepting nature. She never judged people. She was loving and compassionate to everyone and to all animals. She was caring and honest and filled with grace.

Cheryl will be forever missed. She lost her battle to cancer in 91原创 Hospice. Her last days were spent with her family by her side. The family would like to thank all the staff and the 91原创 Hospice Society for the great care Cheryl received. It was a blessing for her to stay at the Hospice during her final days.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Cheryl's memory to the 91原创 Hospice Society.
