PARISH, John Samuel. Born in Unity Saskatchewan on August 13, 1910, passed away October 24, 2006 at 91原创 Memorial Hospital with family at his side. Predeceased in 1991 by his wife, Vera Lillian (nee McKenzie). Survived by his children: Vera (Grant) Ward of 91原创, Vernon (Nida) Parish of Williams Lake, Verle (Sandy) Parish of White Rock, Gary Parish of Surrey, Ronald Parish of Coquitlam, Dona (Sultan) Amlani of Victoria, Deborah (John) Hunter of El Cajon, California. Also survived by sisters Freda Kelly and Tillie McElwaine, both of Unity, Saskatchewan and good friend Pat Gorse, of Castlegar, B.C. Much loved and missed by grandchildren: Sheldon and Tony (Susan); Taral, Darren and Becky; Carley and Jody; Cameron and Christopher; Adil (Jessica), Adam and Angelina; and great grandchildren Maya, Riley and Kacey.

Moved to the Lower Mainland in 1946, John enjoyed his career as a skilled independent carpenter. Upon retirement his pleasures were found in gardening, woodworking, dancing and sharing with family. Graveside services were held at
