MUIR, James Jim Arthur. Passed away peacefully Thursday, February 21, 2008 at 91原创 Memorial Hospital. he will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 61 years, Lucille (Lou) and his children; Sharron (Richard), Jim (Marlene), Adele (Barrie), Scott (Heather), Chris (Ruth), Daphne (Ted) and Bob (Cheryl).

Grandpa will be missed by 17 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be fondly remembered by his family, friends and neighbours.

Jim was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, November 21, 1926, one of 6 children. He was trained in the PPCLI for 11/2 years but the war ended just before shipping out. He met his childhood sweetheart in grade three and married her on April 1, 1946 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Jim and Lucille moved to Vancouver B.C. in 1947 where Jim made a life-long career as an Auto Body Mechanic. They moved to 91原创 in 1953 with two toddlers and made 91原创 home for their rapidly growing family.

With an early retirement Jim and Lucille were able to become professionals in the world of fishing. Jim was a well known professional of Fly Tying, Rod Building and all things fishing. Their passion for the water had them owning numerous boats and visiting the most remote lakes of B.C. His other interests in the past included raising prize winning Rabbit's, Scuba and Skin Diving, brining home Crabs, Fish and under water hockey goals with the Vanquatics Club.

The family would like to thank the staff and attendants at the LMH for their care and attention during this difficult time. A special thank you goes to Dr. Cilliers and Dr. Whitman for their understanding and tenderness.

Jim requested not to have a service, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
