In Loving Memory ~
It is with great sadness and quiet gratitude the family of Jim Fraser announce his peaceful passing due to the complications of old age at the age of 88. Jim went into the arms of his Lord on August 21st, 2021, at the 91原创 Hospice, 91原创 BC.
Jim was born February 11th, 1933, to Logan and Cassie Fraser in Medford, Nova Scotia. Jim married Joan Marie Conley of Truro, Nova Scotia on October 11, 1962. The couple moved from the east coast to the west coast in 1975. Together, with patience and perseverance, they raised four children, Leslie, James, Ardith, and John.
Coming from humble beginnings with a prolific gift of persuasion, Jim built a long and successful career with Unilever as a national sales manager. He left Levers for a new challenge in business partnership with a thriving Cyrus Manufacturing.
After retirement to keep busy and active he became the best paperboy the Vancouver Sun has ever had, proudly delivering the daily news to many 91原创 homes by 5am. He was a prolific gardener, producing a yearly bountiful harvest for his family and providing helpful gardening tips right up until his death.
Jim was an earnest believer in Jesus Christ, a lifetime devotion that gives his family great comfort in his passing.
Jim is survived by his bride Joan, siblings Don, Mary, Lois, and Irwin, children Leslie (Grant) Schmidbauer, James (Chantal) Fraser, Ardith (Dennis) Ingvaldson, and John (Brittany) Fraser, grandchildren Christopher, Janessa, Evan, Delling, Brodie, Ben, Sophia, and Gabriella, and great grandchildren Raiden and Malik.
He was predeceased by his parents Logan and Cassie, and his sister Louise.
Due to these uncertain times, Jim's friends and family will be honouring his life in a private service. In lieu of flowers we ask that you please support the 91原创 Hospice Society or a charity of your choice.
