OOSTENBRUG, HARRY JOHN

It is with deep sadness, the family of
Harry Oostenbrug announces the passing of their husband, father, and grandfather on July 17, 2006. Harry was born in Holland in 1942 and immigrated to Canada with his family at the age of ten, in 1952. Leaving home at an early age, Harry travelled much of the Western Canadian provinces; he had many fond memories of the years he spent in Alberta. Harry was predeceased by his parents, father, Luitjen and mother, Geertje. Harry is survived by his wife, Jean Oostenbrug of Surrey, B.C. His children, Kathy Oakley (Jim) of Kamloops, B.C., Gerry Oostenbrug (Moe) of Aldergrove, B.C., Connie Rempel
(Gerald) of Abbotsford, B.C., Tom Oostenbrug (Rhonda) of Abbotsford, B.C., Elouise Oostenbrug of Sarnia, Ontario, Peggy Brown (Terry) of Barriere, B.C., Barbara Jones (Robert) of Everett, Washington and Jenne Dryborough (Howie) of Grand Prairie, Alberta. Thirteen grandchildren: Taylor, Ben, Tia, Dillin, Tanisha, Brett, Colton, Chelsea, Montana, Matlock, June, Mitchell and Angelena. He is also survived by two brothers, Syd Oostenbrug (Jane) and Ted Oostenbrug (Audrey), and five sisters, Jane Vissee (Dick), Dorothy Tams (John), Harriet VanRaalte (John), Sieta Lieuwen (Nick) and Alida Oostenbrug. As well as many nieces, nephews, friends and many relatives of his wife, Jean. A service to celebrate Harry's life will be held on Monday, July 24, 2006 at 2 p.m., at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 21, 20702 Eastleigh Crescent, 91原创, B.C. with a tea to follow.
