It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Flo on October 30 at 91原创 Memorial Hospital. Flo was born in Glace Bay, Cape Breton, N.S. on February 7, 1935, the second daughter of George and Rita McNeil. She moved to British Columbia in 1956 and with husband Larry was a long time resident of North Delta prior to relocation to Walnut Grove in 1993. Flo started her business career with McMillan Bloedel where she spent 21 years in a variety of managerial positions most notable in the Human Resources Dept. Leaving MB in 1979 she formed her own business, 40+ Job Finders, a company dedicated to assisting older workers find employment. A bout with colon cancer in the early 80's caused her to close the company but her entrepreneurial spirit never left. In the ensuing years she became a partner in another personnel agency and a home decorating business. In 1996 she co-founded a company, which was to become her passion, Good Samaritan Seniors Services. Good Samaritans was formed to provide seniors with affordable homecare. Flo worked tirelessly and through her efforts the company gained a reputation for providing quality service with the help of exceptional personnel. At her passing Flo was President and CEO of Good Samartians.

Her career achievements highlight her tremedous desire to help others enjoy a better quality of life, whether by finding someone a job or helping with their care. During her career she was interviewed by Larier La Pierre about her innovative ideas for 40+ Job Finders and featured on a segment of Pierre Burton "Canadian Achievers" radio shows. A dog lover, she recently completed writing a children's book featuring her dog Maggie.

Flo is survived by Laurence (Larry) her loving husband of 48 years, her sisters, Vivian (Art) Ginter, Arlene (Rick) Brook and Gloria McNeil. Nephews Steven and Greg Ginter, Garfield Parr, Nieces Aleia (Stewart) Nimmo, Julie Brook, Great Nieces Melissa Ginter, Sydney Nimmo and Great Nephew Brett Nimmo. Larry's Family and Aunts and cousins in Cape Preton, Ontario and Saskatchewan. Special thanks to Dr. Park, Dr. McDermott and Nurses of 2 South and ICU, especially Vickie and Christine for their care and support at this difficult time.

Prayers to be held Thursday, Nov 6 at 8pm at St. Nicholas Parish, Walnut Grove, 20675-97 Ave 91原创, where Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Fraday Nov 7th. Interment at Gardens of Gethsemani. Donations to the Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
