Born in Manchester England to Hilda and Thomas Lewtas.

As a young man Eric moved to Edmonton in 1957 where he started with a company in sales. In the following years he was promoted to branch manager, then making a move to BC, became Vice President of the company. 8 years later he and his wife, Denise, started their own company which has thrived for over 40 years.

Eric's involvement in the community and sports was never ending, from soccer coach to Boy Scout leader to Lions Club member. In the early years Eric enjoyed curling, tennis, darts, and bowling. He loved swimming and played his favourite sport, soccer, until he was 50.

Eric and Denise were inseparable, working side by side growing their business, gardening, vacationing in Hawaii and cruising to Alaska. Their home was always open and was a favourite place for the grandkids and many nieces and nephews.

Eric retired and spent his last years with Denise in Campbell River. He was surrounded by family and enjoyed the beautiful garden and never-ending ocean views.

Everyone who knew Eric was inspired, he is always described as a gentleman and a scholar.

Predeceased by his parents, three sisters and two brothers.

Survived by his ever-loving wife Denise, brother John, children Dave (Lisa), Simon, Hilary (Robert) and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and brothers and sisters-in-law.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
