Cindy ELDSTROM

ELDSTROM, Cindy Dawn passed away at 91原创 Memorial Hospital on Thursday, June 12, 2003 after a short battle with cancer. Cindy was born in Shellbrook, Sask. on March 31, 1957. She attended school in Prince Albert and Saskatoon and reeived a B of Ed. from the University of Saskatchewan.


Cindy taught school at Leask, Sask., for three years before moving to 91原创. She took the farrier's course at Kwantlen College and later went on to become the Instructor of Farrier Sciences. Cindy also competed in various farrier competitions including the Calgary Stampede, and was the past president of the Western Canada Farrier's Association.


Cindy was predeceased by her father Vern, her horse Cody and dogs Maggie and Ki. She leaves to mourn, her mother Mary and brothers Barry and wife Daniela, Vaughn and wife Lynn, her best friends Hank, Cymantha, Carol, her horse Black and cat Marmalade.


A Memorial Service was held in her honour at Kwantlen College on Monday, June 16. In lieu of flowers, donations many be made to Kwantlen University College Foundation with a note on the cheque to contribute to the Cindy Eldstrom Memorial Scholarship for Women in the Trades.
