Christopher James Bowcott passed away peacefully on August 9, 2023, in 91原创, B.C. Born on April 4, 1957, in Vancouver, he held the roles of both beloved husband and devoted father and grandfather. Chris was wed to Karen Jean Bowcott, who he lovingly looked after and cared for until her passing in 2019. He later found love again with his wife Kelly Rose, who looked after and cared for him until his passing. His legacy is survived by his three adoring children: Aaron (Jess), David (Ashley), and Gregory (Leticia). Their lives were illuminated by his unwavering love, which they reciprocated in kind, spending days and nights at his side, taking care of their beloved father during his illness. As a proud grandfather, he showered grandchildren Kamila, Duncan, Mateo, and Andr猫s with affection.
Chris is also survived by his mother, Eileen Bowcott, along with his brothers Marcus, Randy, and Mike Bowcott and his sister Kelly Gaine. Chris was preceded in death by his father, Ron Bowcott.
Chris was a devoted father, grandfather and husband, who was always there for his family. A fervent sports enthusiast, he held season tickets for the BC Lions, Vancouver Whitecaps and loved his Seattle Seahawks and Vancouver Canucks. His entrepreneurial spirit shone through in his road construction business, Tarmac Grinding, which his sons now oversee, continuing his legacy.
Chris fostered deep friendships. Whether on his boat, embarking on trips, enjoying a good party, or watching just about any sports game, his presence was cherished. He was a kind and generous man who was always willing to lend a helping hand.
The void left by his passing will be profoundly felt by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched. A celebration of his life will take place at Newlands Golf and Country Club on September 15 at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the B.C. Cancer Agency would be deeply appreciated. Chris's memory will forever reside in our hearts.
