Archibald MACKENZIE

MACKENZIE, Archibald (Archie) Norman, born June 24, 1910 at Saco, Maine, passed away peacefully in 91原创 Memorial Hospital at the age of 93 years on Monday, December 1, 2003.

Predeceased by his parents, W.K. (Willy) and Annie MacKenzie; his sisters Hazel, Jessie, Vera and Pearl; and his precious daughter Barbara.

He is survived by his dear, loving wife of 71 years, Vivian and his daughters, Linda Ellias and Carol Hughes. Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Cheryl Hughes (Warren), Shawn Hughes (Becky), Torben Elias (Michele) and Karsten Elias (Nycol) his great-grandchildren, Kevin, Kayla and Dylan Elias. He is lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and his old friends.

Archie worked in the logging industry with BCFP. He was known for his strong character and his word. Archie was also a devoted, loving family man.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude and thanks to Dr. R. Blackmore for his care and compassion to both Archie and Vivian. Thank you to the wonderful nurses and aides on 4 South (LMH) for their incredible care. Thank you also to Acute Emergency and Cedar Hill Lodge for their care.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at Henderson's Funeral Home, 20786 Fraser Highway, 91原创, with burial to follow at 91原创 Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of BC, #20, 601 West Cordova Street, Vancouver, B.C. V6B 1G1.
