My Beautiful Wife, Alison Spence
Alison Margaret (Goodfellow) SPENCE passed in to the presence of her Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven, on August 30, 2017, from her home in 91原创, British Columbia. "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord." 2 Corinthians 5: 8.
Here, she is survived by her husband, Pastor Lonnie Edwin Spence, their sons & daughter & spouses, Gabriel (Michelle) Spence, Rachel (Michael) Creed & Micah (Kendall) Spence, grandchildren-Caedmon & Darci & sister, Nancy Claire. Alison was predeceased by her parents John & Margaret Goodfellow & her brother Paul.
Alison was born on March 7,1954 in Campbellford, Ontario. Alison became God's child at age 12, when she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour. There was a special place in her heart for Miss Marguerite Hill, the Bible Club teacher who led her to Christ for Salvation. Alison was a graduate of East Northumberland Secondary School, Brighton, ON & St. Lawrence College, Kingston, ON. She taught school for four years in Simcoe, ON & there she felt God's call upon her life & yielded to be whatever God wanted for her. She left teaching & took studies at Maranatha Baptist Bible College, Watertown, Wisconsin, where she met her future husband in 1979.
Lonnie & Alison were married in Ontario on August 15, 1981. Alison was a woman of character, faith & sacri_ ce & as Dad Spence would say, "personality-plus!" Lonnie & Alison served the Lord Jesus Christ together in the Gospel ministry in Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia & most recently Alison gave herself for the last 22 years to the _ ne people & ministry of Victory Baptist Church, 91原创. Alison was an excellent wife _ rst & then a marvellous Mother.
She poured her life into her children training them to follow the Lord she loved. Her Memorial service was held on Sept. 4, 2017. Alison's body was buried on Sept. 6, 2017, with family & friends present. Alison wholly followed the LORD.
