NOTICE is hereby given that the Council of the City of 91原创 will hold a Public Hearing in the Council Chambers, 91原创 City Hall, 20399 Douglas Crescent, 91原创, BC at 7:00pm on Monday, June 3, 2024 to allow the public to make verbal or written representation to Council with respect to the following proposed bylaw amendments:
1. Bylaw No. 3280 鈥� Zoning Amendment
Purpose: To amend the Zoning Bylaw, 1996, No. 2100 as noted below.
The purpose of Bylaw 3280 is to amend the Zoning Bylaw to incorporate a new 400 metre separation distance between child care centres within the specified area as shown on the map below.
Bylaw No. 3280 proposes to:
鈥� Add a 400 metre separation distance between 鈥淐hild Care Centres鈥� within a specified area to Part D 鈥淕eneral Provisions鈥�, Section 3 鈥淩egulations Applicable to All Zones鈥� as follows:
m) Child Care Centres
No Child Care Centre within the area outlined in the map below shall be located within 400 metres of any other Child Care Centre within the area outlined in the map below.
The proposed changes will not impact existing operating Child Care Centre businesses. If the bylaw is adopted by Council, these businesses can continue to operate and conduct business un-inhibited as 鈥榣egal non-conforming uses鈥�, subject to the applicable provisions of Division 14 - 鈥楴on-Conforming Use鈥� of the Local Government Act.
The proposed bylaw may be viewed from Wednesday May 15, 2024 to Monday, June 3, 2024 online at www.langleycity.ca or in person at the Development Services department at City Hall, 20399 Douglas Crescent, 91原创, Monday to Friday, 8:30AM - 4:30PM, excluding statutory holidays.
