Purpose: To amend the City of 91原创 Zoning Bylaw to rezone the property located at 5382 200 Street (outlined in bold on the map below) from the CD78 Comprehensive Development Zone to CD97 Comprehensive Development Zone to permit a 6-storey, 118-unit apartment building (an increase in 5 units from the 6-storey, 113-unit building permitted under the existing CD78 Comprehensive Development Zone).

Legal Description: Lot A, District Lot 305, Group 2, New Westminster District, Plan EPP120042

In accordance with section 464(3) of the Local Government Act, the City must not hold a Public Hearing for this application. This is due to the recent change to Provincial housing legislation, adopted by the Province of BC on November 30, 2023, that prohibits local governments from holding public hearings for rezoning applications for residential developments that are consistent with the local government鈥檚 Official Community Plan (OCP).

This rezoning application, proposing 118 residential units within a 6-storey apartment building, is consistent with the Low Rise Residential land use designation in the City of 91原创 OCP.

The proposed bylaw, supporting documents, and drawings may be viewed from Friday, June 7, 2024 to Monday, June 17, 2024 online at the 鈥淒evelopment Application Portal鈥 at www.langleycity.ca or in person at the Development Services department at City Hall, 20399 Douglas Crescent, 91原创, Monday to Friday, 8:30AM - 4:30PM, excluding statutory holidays.
