The suspect in the stabbing death of a 40-year-old woman in Surrey now faces a second-degree murder charge.
On Sept. 8 just after 2 a.m., police from Surrey RCMP were called to the scene of a pedestrian struck incident, where a woman who was unconscious but breathing was located. The victim died in hospital from her injuries, on Sept. 13.
On Thursday (Oct. 3), Kipp was charged with second-degree murder and remains in custody, police state in an updated release.
According to court services online, Kipp is next expected to appear in court on Oct. 11.
