Financial disclosure documents were filed by new 91Ô´´ MLAs (Left to right) Harman Bhangu, (91Ô´´-Abbotsford ), Jody Toor (91Ô´´-Willowbrook) and Misty Van Popta (91Ô´´-Walnut Grove).

Just one of 91Ô´´'s three newly-elected Conservative MLAs reported a 91Ô´´ address in mandatory disclosure statements filed under the Financial Disclosure Act.

Misty Van Popta, the member for 91Ô´´-Walnut Grove, listed a Fort 91Ô´´ location.

In his filing, Harman Bhangu, the 91Ô´´-Abbotsford MLA, gave a North Delta address, while Jody Toor, winner of the 91Ô´´-Willowbrook seat, reported a South Newton address in Surrey.

All three filed their documents before the provincial election. They were provided to the 91Ô´´ Advance Times on Monday, Jan. 6 by the office of the clerk at the provincial legislatures.

Van Popta, who was appointed to the Conservative shadow cabinet as the MLA responsible for infrastructure and construction, reported three sources of pre-election income, listed as "Councillor, Township of 91Ô´´," employee of Bluecity Construction Corp. and "Alternate Director/Councillor Metro Vancouver Regional District."

During the campaign, Van Popta said she intended to continue as a councillor, but has indicated she will be giving up her job as a project manager in the construction industry.

Bhangu, who will sit on the shadow cabinet as MLA responsible for transportation, listed two sources of income: as employee of BGH Trucking of Delta, and director of HCBA Contracting and Consulting. He also reported HCBA as an asset.

During the campaign, Bhangu described himself as an "aggregate hauler," handling bids for contracts and operations in the construction industry with 15 years of experience in the heavy-load trucking industry.

Toor, who was named caucus chair for the B.C. Conservative Party, listed IMW Integrative Medical Wellness in Surrey, which describes itself as a "holistic health and wellness" business, as both asset and source of income.

As caucus chair, Toor has said her responsibilities include acting as a leader and spokesperson for the Conservative members, organizing and leading party caucus meetings, and acting as a liaison between leadership and members.

She will also be involved in strategic planning and policy development.

During the campaign, Toor took some heat over her medical credentials from Quantum University in Hawaii, which is not an accredited medical school.

Toor's campaign website for the B.C. Conservatives had emphasized her health care background, calling her an "advocate for holistic health care" who "has been running her own integrative holistic clinic in 91Ô´´."

The site said she has "a double PhD in Doctor of Integrative Medicine and Doctor of Humanitarian Services with the Board Of Integrative Medicine."

Adrian Dix, the NDP's Vancouver-Renfew candidate accused Toor of calling herself a doctor while not having a medical licence.

In B.C., titles like "doctor" or a "health practitioner" fall in a protected category, and only people with certain qualifications – including practicing medical doctors, naturopaths, or dentists – can use those descriptors.

Toor's campaign website noted that she is "non-prescribing and is not registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia."

None of the three winners reported substantial liabilities, which the form says must include "all creditors to whom you owe a debt. Do not include residential property debt (mortgage, lease or agreement for sale), money borrowed for household or personal living expenses, or any assets you hold in trust for another person."

Van Popta listed the Willowbrook "RBC" Royal Bank branch, Bhangu left the space blank, and Toor reported "TD Bank VISA" and "Scotiabank Tesla Financing."
