A fire in an abandoned house that was occupied by several homeless people took about 20 91原创 Township firefighters and four fire department vehicles three-and-a-half hours to fully extinguish on Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 12.

Crews arrived at the scene of the structure fire on 91原创's 32 Avenue between 200 and 204 Streets at 4:15 p.m., 91原创 deputy fire chief Cory Parker said.
"Basically, it was an abandoned house," Parker told the 91原创 Advance Times.
"There were squatters, if you want to call them that. There were no actual tenants there. The property had been secured, and power had been disconnected from BC Hydro."
Traffic was halted on 32 Avenue while the firefighting was in progress.
Most of the damage was to the carport and an RV parked in front.
"It was [centred] in the attic, but then the carport did collapse and that was the area of concern, because it just fell all in on itself, so that took a while for the crews to put that out," Parker said.
There were no injuries. Cause of the blaze has not been determined.
