In time for two parades in Metro Vancouver, TransLink is rolling out a special Vaisakhi-themed bus wrapped with art created by Jag Nagra.
The parades (nagar kirtans) are planned April 13 in Vancouver and .
The design for the new Vaisakhi bus takes inspiration from the artistry of Rumala Sahibs, embroidered fabrics found in Sikh gurdwaras. The wrap features bright orange and blue, the traditional colours of Sikhism, and also features a floral pattern.

The two Vaisakhi parades in this region mean street closures and re-routing of some buses. In Surrey, the 323 and 393 buses will be rerouted for parade preparations on Friday, April 19, and routes 323, 324 and 329 will be rerouted for the parade on April 20. Also, there will be extra Expo Line and Millennium Line service from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 20. .
