A minivan ended up in a ditch around 8 p.m. after the collision with a Southern Railway locomotive at an uncontrolled crossing near that only has a stop sign.
Rescue crews removed three occupants from the minivan and transported the driver to hospital by ambulance for treatment of a relatively minor head injury.
