Surrey Police Service (SPS) are investigating an overnight shooting earlier this morning, Sunday, Jan. 26, with the RCMP Surrey Operational Support Unit (SPOSU).
Just after 3 a.m. on Sunday, SPS officers responded to multiple calls of shots fired in the area of 142 Street and 72 Avenue, and sounds of a vehicle speeding away, said SSgt. Lindsey Houghton with the SPS.
"SPS officers arrived and located evidence that the residence had been shot at," she said.
No injuries were reported.
The suspect vehicle is described as a light-coloured sedan.
The eastbound lane of 72 Avenue has been closed to traffic since early this morning while SPOSU and Integrated Forensic Identification Service (IFIS) officers investigate.
