Surrey Mounties are asking public transit passengers who were aboard the 321 bus or waiting at the bus stop at King George Boulevard just north of 96 Avenue shortly after 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24 to contact police who are investigating after a 69-year-old man was injured by a bus there.

The victim was still in hospital Thursday.

鈥淭his might take a few months before the investigation has come up to a point where they will be able to share something more publicly.鈥

Meantime, the bus driver remained on scene and police are working to determine 鈥渁ll circumstances that led to this collision,鈥 Sgt. Tammy Lobb said Wednesday. 鈥淭he Criminal Collision Investigation Team has assumed conduct of the investigation and are asking for witnesses to come forward.鈥

Lobb said 鈥減reliminary investigation indicates鈥 several people were onboard the bus and others were waiting at the #54988 stop when the collision happened.
